Treely: Identify UK Trees

Learn to identify the trees on your walks, and keep knowing them. Treely is a daily tree identification quiz from real photographs of leaf, bark, bud, fruit and winter shape, with a field guide and a tree identifier for the one in front of you.

Free to start. One purchase unlocks everything, for life. No subscription.

A SHORT ROUND EVERY DAY
Ten questions from real photographs, a few minutes a day. You start with a handful of UK trees, more join as you learn them, and the ones you are unsure of come back until they stick.

KNOW THEM ON SIGHT
Each tree climbs from Learning to Mastered as you name it from its different parts on different days. You see where every tree stands and how your week went.

STOP MIXING THEM UP
Beech or hornbeam? Silver birch or downy birch? Lookalikes sit side by side with the checks that settle them, and after a round you can compare the ones you mixed up.

IDENTIFY THE TREE IN FRONT OF YOU
Point the camera at it, or let Identify ask what you can see. It works with whatever the season has left on the tree, in winter too, and tells you when it is not sure.

A FIELD GUIDE IN YOUR POCKET
A page for every tree: photographs of each part, how to identify it, what it does through the year and what it is mistaken for. Every figure and month is checked against the standard British field guides.

GO AND FIND THEM
Explore shows you what is out now and which trees to look for this week, then lets you photograph the one you find.

UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT
Short illustrated lessons on why trees look and behave as they do. Each one leaves you with something to spot on your next walk.
