Use it for a regular commute, a trip across London or a visit to places such as the London Eye, Tower of London or Hyde Park. Check a familiar stop before leaving, or use the map to find nearby options in an unfamiliar area.

Save the stops, routes and journeys you use often. A personalized Home Stop brings the bus times for your regular routes together for easier access.

How does Bus Times London Countdown App work?

Find a bus stop on the map or search for a stop, route or destination. Select a stop to view its arrivals, and open its timetable when you need scheduled departures rather than the next live countdown.

Enter your journey details in the route planner and choose when you want to travel. Review the route, estimated travel time and any bus changes before setting off. Save a useful stop or journey to return to it later, or set your regular stop as Home Stop.

To find stops near your current position, use Locate Me with location access enabled. You can also search for a location manually. Oyster balance access uses your TfL My Account.

Compatibility and requirements

Live arrivals and travel updates need an internet connection and depend on TfL data availability. Countdown times are predictions and can change as services run; scheduled timetable entries are not the same as a live arrival estimate.

Use number plate information alongside the route number, destination and stop information when deciding which bus to board.
