Locate Us: Family GPS Tracker

Locate Us is a family safety app for Canadian families who want to know their loved ones have arrived safely. Use it as a GPS tracker for school days and hockey practice, a family locator to locate your family on one private live map, and an SOS button for when someone needs help.

Location sharing is always by invite and with consent. Only people who join your circle can see your location, and every member can see who is in it.

LIVE LOCATION ON ONE MAP
See each family member's current location on a real-time GPS map, including the last update time and activity status. Find family location in seconds, whether they are at school, at the rink, at work or on the highway.

PRIVATE CIRCLES FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Create one circle for your family, another for friends and one for the trip to the cottage. Invite people with a link or QR code and share location only with the circle you choose. Everyone in the circle can see who has joined.

CHECK-INS AND PLACE ALERTS
Save places like Home, School, Work or the Arena and get an alert when someone arrives or leaves. These geofence alerts run automatically, so you know your child got to school or made it home from hockey practice without calling. Need it for one day only? Set a temporary check-in for a field trip, a tournament or a late drive home.

SOS ALERTS
Press and hold the SOS button to send your live GPS location to your circle and emergency contacts. A 10-second countdown lets you cancel a false alarm, and a PIN keeps anyone else from cancelling it.

CRASH DETECTION
If Locate Us detects a possible car crash, it alerts every member of your circle and shares your live location, so the people closest to you know right away.

LOW BATTERY ALERTS
Get notified when a family member's cellphone drops below 15% battery, so you know why their location may stop updating.

FAMILY AND CIRCLE CHAT
Message one person or the whole circle right next to the map. Plan pick-ups, carpools and practice rides without switching apps.

LOCATION HISTORY
Look back at where circle members have been with 24/7 location history.

NOTIFICATION HISTORY
Every arrival, departure, SOS and crash alert is saved in one timeline, so nothing gets missed.

Locate Us is a family safety app built on consent, not a tracker that runs behind anyone's back. Location tracking and sharing only work for people who install the app and join a circle by invite. Members can manage location sharing for each circle or leave at any time. Your neighbour, your coworkers or anyone outside your circle cannot see you.

PERMISSIONS
Locate Us uses your location, including in the background, so your circle sees your live location, place alerts work, and SOS and crash alerts can share your GPS position even when the app is closed. You can change this anytime in your phone settings.
