About this app

Photograph the score your choir handed out. ChoirSnap reads the notes on
your phone — no upload, no account, no waiting — and sings it back to you,
four parts at once or your own line alone.

LEARN YOUR OWN LINE
• Say once whether you are soprano, alto, tenor or bass.
• Hear the whole choir, your part brought forward, or everyone except you.
• Slow it down to any tempo without changing the pitch.
• Loop the four bars that keep going wrong.

SING, AND BE HEARD
Tap Sing and ChoirSnap listens while you sing along. It shows how close
each note was to the one on the page, and afterwards tells you which bars
you missed — the ones worth another ten minutes.

WARM UP FIRST
A pitch pipe for every note your section needs, and short warm-up
exercises that start where your voice does.

A LIBRARY ALREADY IN YOUR POCKET
Nearly ten thousand vocal scores — masses, motets, anthems, part-songs,
hymns and songs, all out of copyright — are built into the app and work
with no signal at all. The shelves follow the choir year: Advent, Lent,
Easter, Christmas.

YOUR MUSIC STAYS YOURS
Everything happens on the device. Your scores, your photographs and your
voice never leave it: the singing becomes pitch as you sing and is never
recorded. No account, no advertising.

Free to use, with Premium for the parts that save a chorister the most
time. The free app reads five scores and plays ten times. Phones and
tablets, upright or on their side.

Choir, choral society, SATB, soprano, alto, tenor, bass, voice part rehearsal, sight singing, intonation, pitch pipe, vocal warm up, hymns, anthems, psalms, evensong, sheet music scanner for singers.

What's new

• Opening a large PDF or several photos at once no longer closes the app on phones with less memory.
• A new recognition model reads printed music more accurately, on photos and PDFs, and asks fewer review questions.
• Photos saved as HEIC or WebP (the "high efficiency" format many phones use) can now be scanned.
• The free app now reads 10 scans and imports 10 PDFs before asking for Premium.
• Premium costs less, with a price set for each country.
