About this app

SwimLevel helps private swim instructors and swim schools track swim lesson progress without a clipboard that gets wet. Set your own levels and skills, tick each swimmer at the pool edge with one tap, and when a level is done the ribbon drops and you can make a certificate PDF.

WHAT IT DOES

The Skill Ladder
One swimmer, one screen. Each skill in the level sits on its own rung as a big card you tap: not yet, working on it, got it. The whole card is the target, so a wet finger hits it, and nothing needs a long press. Swipe or tap to the next swimmer in the class. Ticks save with no signal at an outdoor pool and catch up when the phone is back online.

Your levels, in your words
A new school starts with six levels of swim skills to edit, with no programme attached. Rename them, reorder them, change a skill, add your own or start again. A level already passed stays passed if you change it later.

Classes
Each class has a name, a day, a time and an instructor. The deck opens on the class that is next today, with every swimmer and how far along they are.

Level passes and certificates
When the last skill is ticked, the ribbon drops and you decide whether to pass the level now. A certificate of level completion carries your school's name and logo, the swimmer's first name and initial, the level and the date, and shares as a PDF. Passed one by mistake? Undo it. The levels and certificates are your school's own, not a qualification.

Parent progress pages
Share a swimmer's progress by a link or QR code, with nothing for the parent to install and no account. The page shows the level being worked on, each skill, the ribbons so far and the certificates to save or print, in English, Spanish or French. Anyone with the link can open it, so it shows a first name and initial and nothing else about the child: no birth year, no class time, and never your notes. The address names nobody, search engines are told to skip it, and you can turn a link off at any time. Standard and Solo have one link to try; Pro has a page for every swimmer.

Reports
On Solo and Pro: a class heat map with swimmers down the side and skills across the top, the swimmers who have been working on one skill for weeks, the levels passed in the last 30, 90 or 365 days, and a CSV of every swimmer.

Plans
Standard holds 20 swimmers with ladders and certificates, and one parent link to try. Solo removes the swimmer limit and adds reports and CSV. Pro gives every swimmer a parent page, emails certificates to parents who have agreed, and holds five seats, you and four instructors. Everything you have recorded stays readable on every plan.

Child records stay small
A swimmer is a first name, an initial, an optional birth year and a class. There are no surnames, photos or addresses. Records are stored on our servers so every instructor sees the same ladder. Add an email to your account to open the school on another phone. You can delete a swimmer or the whole school from inside the app.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

SwimLevel records skills and levels your school sets for itself. It does not teach swimming and it does not replace supervision. A level or a certificate says nothing about whether a child is safe in water. It does not handle scheduling, billing or payments.

WHO IT IS FOR

Independent swim schools and private swim instructors. The app is for the adults who run the lessons; parents use only their web page.
