Locate Us: Family GPS Tracker

Locate Us is a cellphone tracker app for South African families who want to know their loved ones have arrived safely. Share your live location in a private family circle, see everyone on one real-time GPS map, get an alert when the kids arrive at school, and send an SOS when someone needs help. Fewer "where are you?" messages, more peace of mind.

Location sharing is always by invite and with consent. Only people who join your circle can see your location, and every member can see who is in it.

KEY FEATURES

GPS LOCATION TRACKER ON A LIVE MAP
See each family member's current location on a real-time GPS map, including the last update time and activity status. Find family location in seconds, whether they are at school, at work, in traffic on the way home or waiting for a lift home after sport.

PRIVATE CIRCLES FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Create one circle for your family, another for friends and one for the December holiday road trip. Invite people with a link or QR code and share location only with the circle you choose. Everyone in the circle can see who has joined.

SCHOOL RUN AND PLACE ALERTS
Save places like Home, School, Work or Gran's House and get an alert when someone arrives or leaves. These geofence alerts run automatically, so you know the school run went smoothly without phoning anyone. Need it for one day only? Set a temporary check-in for a school tour, a match or a late lift home.

SOS ALERTS
Press and hold the SOS button to send your live GPS location to your circle and emergency contacts. A 10-second countdown lets you cancel a false alarm, and a PIN stops anyone else from cancelling it.

CRASH DETECTION
If Locate Us detects a possible car crash, it alerts every member of your circle and shares your live location, so the people closest to you know straight away.

LOW BATTERY ALERTS
Get notified when a family member's cellphone drops below 15% battery, so you know why their location may stop updating, which helps during long days out or load shedding.

FAMILY AND CIRCLE CHAT
Message one person or the whole circle right next to the map. Sort out lifts, the school run and weekend plans without switching apps.

24/7 LOCATION HISTORY
Look back at where circle members have been with round-the-clock location history.

NOTIFICATION HISTORY
Every arrival, departure, SOS and crash alert is saved in one timeline, so nothing gets missed.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Can I use it to find someone's cellphone by number?
No. Locate Us is not a phone tracker for any number. It only shows people who install the app and join your circle by invite.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
Locate Us is a GPS tracker built on consent, not a tracker that runs behind anyone's back. Location tracking and sharing only work for people who install the app and join a circle by invite. Members can manage location sharing for each circle or leave at any time.

PERMISSIONS
Locate Us uses your location, including in the background, so your circle sees your live location, place alerts work, and SOS and crash alerts can share your GPS position even when the app is closed. You can change this anytime in your phone settings.
