It's Complicated

Make your Wear OS watch face more useful with customizable complications for battery, steps, calories, distance, heart rate, time, date, weather and more.

Choose what to show, hide what you do not need, set goals for step and calorie progress complications, and choose what opens when you tap a complication.

It’s Complicated was created from a personal need: having useful watch-face complications without relying on a phone companion app. It was designed from the beginning to be flexible, simple, and useful for anyone who wants more control over their Wear OS watch face.

Available complications:

Battery Level
• Current battery percentage
• Show or hide the icon and or label
• Show or hide the % symbol
• Choose which app or system setting opens on tap

Battery Range
• Battery level shown as a progress/range complication
• Show or hide the icon and or label
• Show or hide the % symbol
• Choose which app or system setting opens on tap

Steps Current
• Current daily step count
• Show or hide the icon and or label
• Choose which app opens on tap

Steps Progress
• Daily steps shown as progress toward a goal
• Set a custom daily step goal (unfortunately it's not possible to get the goal set in the phone app)
• Show or hide the icon and or label
• Choose which app opens on tap

Calories Current
• Current daily calories
• Show or hide the icon and/or label

Calories Progress
• Daily calories shown as progress toward a goal

• Visual Crossing (Need to insert your own free API key)

Xiaomi watch note
On some Xiaomi watches, changing either the icon or label setting may cause both the icon and label to disappear. If this happens, try one of these fixes:
• Open watch-face edit mode and save the watch face without making changes.
• Turn off both the icon and label, then turn on only the option you want to display.

Privacy
• Health and activity data is used to provide the complications you select on your watch face. The app does not require an account or a phone companion app.
• Location data is used to get the current weather of the location from the weather provider.
