Radarr Watch Face

Radarr is an animated radar watch face for Wear OS, built in Google's Watch Face Format. A beam sweeps the scope once a minute, like a second hand, and two targets tell the time: the hour on the inner circle and the minute on the outer one, each with its number riding beside it. As the beam passes a target, the target flares. One purchase, everything included: every dial, target, sweep and color is yours, with no in-app purchases and nothing locked.

EIGHT DIALS

- Rings: range rings, a crosshair and sixty rim ticks
- Bearing: range rings inside a bezel numbered 1 to 60
- Polar: a fine polar grid
- Grid: a square grid, two rings and bold hour ticks
- Sonar: dashed range rings and bearings from 000 to 330
- Compass: north, east, south and west, with a degree scale
- Storm: a weather radar whose rain cells light up in the beam
- Tactical: a reticle, a lock box and a notched double bezel

To switch, touch and hold the face, tap Customize, then Dial.

SIX TARGETS

- Glow dot: a soft point of light
- Arrowhead: a sharp chevron
- Lock: a bracketed diamond
- Streak: a short trail of light
- Aircraft: a little plane
- Battleship: a ship that trains its guns on the dial's index

To switch, tap Customize, then Targets.

FIVE SWEEPS

- Beam: the classic wedge with a bright leading edge
- Phosphor: a long afterglow, like an old CRT scope
- Needle: a thin bright line with a short trail
- Ping: a narrow beam, and a sonar ring that grows from the center every five seconds
- Readout: a short beam whose tip carries the seconds

Or Off, for a still screen. To switch, tap Customize, then Sweep.

ECHO

The way a real radar paints a contact: each target flares as the beam passes it, glows with a halo, then fades over the next half minute to 40%, where it rests until the next pass - so the time always reads. With Echo off, the targets stay steady. To turn it off, tap Customize, then Echo.

THIRTY-SIX COLORS

Each preset has three colors - one for the scope, the beam and the targets, one for the numbers and one for the complications: Radar, Air Traffic, Sonar, Night Vision, Amber CRT, Thermal, Arctic, Military, Synthwave, Phosphor P7, White, Steel, Aqua, Teal, Spring, Lime, Chartreuse, Butter, Yellow, Gold, Royal, Azure, Denim, Red, Coral, Crimson, Vermilion, Tangerine, Rust, Copper, Purple, Orchid, Plum, Magenta, Pink and Berry. To switch, tap Customize, then Colors.

EIGHT CUSTOMIZABLE COMPLICATIONS

Four round icons around the center - heart rate, steps, battery and notifications to start, with a ring for anything that has a range - and four text slots around the dial: day and date, next event, world clock, and sunrise and sunset. Each can hold the weather, any app's short reading or an app shortcut, and a tap opens it. To change one, touch and hold the face, tap Customize, then Complications.

ALWAYS-ON

Pure black, with only the dial's strong lines dimmed and both targets with their numbers, so the time reads and only a small part of the screen is lit.

EVERYTHING INCLUDED

Radarr is a paid app with everything included: all 8 dials, 6 targets, 5 sweeps and 36 colors, with Echo and 8 complications. No in-app purchases, no subscription, nothing locked. The face works on its own: no phone app is needed. The Watcholate Watch Faces app on your phone shows every sweep turning and can open this face on your watch.
