About this game

Castle defense with a silly army and a 500 level story. Drag troop cards into three lanes, watch them march and get them to the other side.

Midnight at the Hundred Years Fair. The King decides to wind the Great Clock of Centuries himself, without putting down his sandwich. Crack. Bong. Ten gears fly out of the window. The sandwich, out of solidarity, goes with them.

Now the ages are all mixed up. A viking longship sails into the village pond. A spartan phalanx marches through the turnip field. A ninja shows up eight hundred years early and keeps saying nobody saw him. Every one of them thinks they are the ones being invaded. You are the Commander, and it is your job to win back the gears, rebuild the clock and send everyone home to their own century.

HOW A BATTLE WORKS
Pick your deck, spend mana and drag a troop card onto one of three lanes. Your soldiers march and fight on their own. Every enemy that reaches your side costs you health, and every soldier of yours that reaches the far side hurts the enemy army. Mana fills up by itself, and tapping it when it glows fills it faster. It is castle defense and attack at the same time: choose the right troop for the right lane and the battle turns your way.

A CAMPAIGN WITH A REAL STORY
• 500 levels in five books: The Broken Clock, The Sea of Yesterday, The Sands of Hours, The Forever Empire and Inside the Clock
• 50 regions, from Greenhollow and Red Canyon to Tuesday Coast and Sneeze Lake
• A funny cast: Pip the farm boy who quotes his gran, Aldric the vain knight, Lyra the archer who hates it when plans change, Rook the charming thief who owes money in every century, Merrin the sleepy clockmaker, grumpy Brom and the King, who is very sorry and has brought more sandwiches
• A mystery that keeps going: who is the Hooded Stranger who always gets there first and signs his notes "Tomorrow"?
• Family friendly humour from start to finish

AN ARMY FROM EVERY AGE
• 27 troop classes: knights, archers, bandits, wizards, healers, fire mages, amazons, barbarians, dwarves, druids, necromancers, ninjas, paladins, pirates, samurai, gladiators, spartans, vikings and more
• Every class plays differently. The viking lets out a war cry that stuns the whole lane. The samurai can take down an enemy in a single blow. The ninja dodges and pops up behind the enemy. The healer patches up whoever stands in front of her. The pirate leaves bombs in the lane.
• New recruits join as the story goes on, and more come out of the ball machine
• Build a deck of up to 10 cards and try new mixes for each level

GROW YOUR FORCES
• Level up every troop with shards and gold
• A piece of gear for every class that makes it stronger in every battle
• Upgrade your castle walls to hold more enemies
• Items for a tough level: stronger walls, starting mana, more damage, more speed or faster mana
• 32 trophies to earn as you play

PLAY YOUR WAY
• Upright or sideways: the battlefield adapts to how you hold your phone
• Screen shake and damage numbers you can switch on or off
• 15 languages

If you like castle defense games, lane battles, medieval war games and army strategy with a laugh in every level, Pocket Wars is waiting for you. The Commander never says a word, but the rest of the army never stops talking.
