Enjoyable at the very start and then things start creeping in, forced ads, a £7.99 no add pack that only removes forced ads (seems expensive, could remove all ads for that price, or a cheaper one to remove forced ads?). then items drop where you can't equip without spending real money? I've never seen something like that in a game and it instantly put me off. what else will end up costing money further on? Game has a high rating and has potential but unplayable in current format.

I genuinely hear your frustration, and I'm sorry the monetization feels like it's gotten in the way of the fun. Your feedback about the forced ads and gating items behind paywalls is exactly the kind of thing we need to hear, and I want you to know we're actively working on rebalancing how we approach monetization so it doesn't feel like a paywall

In other mobile games, if you buy the "remove ads" option it generally allows you to collect bonuses that would normally require you to watch an ad, but receiving them instantly instead. THIS IS *NOT* THE CASE WITH PATH OF KINGS! There are a great many mechanisms that are both necessary to progress, such as equipment upgrades, and also STILL REQUIRE YOU TO WATCH AN AD AFTER BUYING THE NO ADS UPGRADE. I feel that I was mis-sold the upgrade, and have uninstalled as a result.

like a lot of games, this becomes very repetitive and tedious after a time; your progress slows profoundly, the battles take too long, and as they aren't interactive, you are literally just waiting. Add to this how much you need to sit through a hell of a lot of ads in order to progress, and you're left with an awful lot of just waiting.
