UX is terrible. Lots of cute animations but terrible at basic organisation of photos and videos. The constant stream on sickly sweet "oh who could it be!" and "You've got a new postcard!" notifications all day long are really irritating. It would be great if you could switch them off (not just pause them for a week) and have the app neatly organise all the bird sightings into a easy to read, friendly but modern format. Then a monthy review. Currently its like reading a children's book.

Awful, 95% of birds aren't detected! Had a woodpecker feeding for almost 5mins, I received nothing from that vist. Lots of the birds that are recognised seem to be identified wrong despite an identical photo getting it right at the same visit. Over the past few months bird ID has got worse, detecting visits has got worse and the new postcard interface is really bad. The feeder itself isn't perfect seems rushed to market with no real world testing. Everything looks pretty hardware, app but....

Fun concept, but needs work. The app is laggy and awkward and generally feels like an iOS app that was hastily (and badly) ported to Android. Also, as others have mentioned, the solar cable routing needs serious improvement. I just don't bother to fill from the back because I know repeatedly opening and closing the door will break the cable eventually. Overall I'm enjoying my BB, but really hope improvements are coming considering how expensive it was.

Thank you for being a part of the community, Michelle! 🐦 We're glad you're enjoying your Bird Buddy, but we can totally understand your frustrations. We’re always working on app performance and hardware durability. The app’s performance and ease of use are definitely areas we are focused on, and we’re aiming to make it smoother across all devices!

What’s new

Bug fixes and performance improvements
New ways to make the most of your postcards, plus a smoother way to share them. We're rolling both out gradually over the coming weeks, so you may not see them right away.
