Update. Whenever I connect a USB-C controller to my phone this game crashes. When this bug is fixed, I would be happy to re-review. The Master System/Game Gear originals are held in high regard and this remake works incredibly well and is faithful to the original. Highly recommended for old and new gamers

A relatively short Metroidvania style game with a beautiful art style, fantastic music and is also a very good mobile port. Fully customisable touch screen controls, both location and size, although perfectly playable with the default options. Would still recommend using a controller if you have one available, but the game is straight forward enough that you can easily beat the normal and easy difficulties without.

This game is fantastic. I had the original MS version, one of my favourite games as a kid, and this remake is outstanding. The art style is perfect and the music recordings are incredible versions of the originals. Touch screen controls can often let down mobile games, but the fact that this game relies on simple platforming and combat controls means button frustration is rarely an issue. The developers were obviously fans of the original and have done this classic absolute justice!
