Despite the façade, there are many rooms full of hidden objects and dark secrets in this mansion. Each floor is a labyrinth of mysterious cases that will intrigue any detective worth his salt. The game is good, challenging and entertaining, with storylines to keep it interesting. However, it's impossible to progress far without the (optional) in-app purchases! The more you progress to the 2nd floor, the more tokens are required. If you have not earnt enough, then 'diamonds' have to be bought (£s) to exchange. The 14-Day and 30-Day quests have options to buy into (for greater rewards). Golden Compass is £9.99 (was £4.99), Detective Pass is now £19.99 (was £9.99). EXORBITANT PRICES !!

Hello there! Mystery Manor is a F2P game. All the core functions are available for free, and you can play without spending money. Purchasing additional resources and items is voluntary, and players are not forced to do so!

It's pretty fun. I'd give it a higher rating if they had a premium version; freemium games are way too expensive in the long run. And this is definitely balanced so that you'll lose a lot if you don't pay. Every 4 hours I can play 5 minigames; I just lost 4 out of 5. (Of course, it doesn't start out that hard: they do the usual tricks to get you invested first.) Edit: Thanks for responding, but what I said is that it becomes harder and harder to PROGRESS without spending money. Which you know.

Been playing this for about a year now, but I'm getting sick of it. I now log in to do the bare minimum, because you need the freebies to make any progress at all without paying LOTS of money. It takes weeks to progress a mission now due to the number of room access items you need in later levels, and I haven't got the time to spend hours every day playing to get things done faster. A recent update has more than doubled the cost of required tools, which is crazy! Won't be playing much longer.
