The default audio recording app is now a useless horrible mess. If you want to use this tool to record your guitar ideas as and when you come up with them, AVOID. 1. You can not access your own recordings on your phone file system. 2. Recordings are not named by full date for simple & automatic file organisation. 3. You can only access your recordings on the web but they still don't download easily or have a structured name.

what a ridiculous idea to not be saving files to internal storage by default, but keeping them in app data. The app stopped working one day and the suggested solution was to 'uninstall updates'. After doing that, I found all of my recordings to have been erased and not possible to recover (I wasn't backing up to the cloud since I don't pay for G drive). Thanks a lot Google.

RECOVER LOST RECORDINGS IN APP - go to your profile picture > select the drop-down next to your name > select "use without an account". It's silly, it's so simple when you know where it is. Transcript is very poor, I'm not sure if this is a recurring theme with pixel 6 pro, or just Google in general but it seems all apps on my device are bad with translate
