Meet your new Game Master. The free HeroQuest Companion App allows you to run your next tabletop game session so everyone can play as heroes! The app takes on the role of Zargon using the onscreen quest map.
Additional features include:
• Narrated quest instructions, sound effects, and dungeon atmosphere
• Dangers are revealed as the heroes explore dungeons
• Quest events are tracked along with game progress
• Players can record character Mind and Body Points digitally in-app
• Spells and artifact effects are cast and triggered on screen

Good however I'd like to see it have the option to reveal rooms traps secrets and all the good stuff from the quest book but allow the players to control the monster actions... I suggest this as often most of the time is spent in the app and not on the board. Giving the player team control of the monsters and rolling dice for them would work well.

I am enjoying the app so far. Zargon AI could be smarter - monsters chasing the heroes into a doorway where they line up to get killed... When they could try to flank the heroes or cut them off from the objectives. Voice acting is amazing and the flexibility of the app is good! Update - Feels better with the advance monster and the attack the weak settings! Would like a way to get the heroes back to the stairs more easily as moving them one by one on the app drags out the game unnecessarily.

Veil of mist and smoke bombs don't work. You can apply them to the heroes but the app doesn't allow them to pass through the enemies. Also,we have to save and exit then resume the game regularly,because if the app crashes it resets the quest,making it a total nightmare to get it back to where you were. Overall it's a decent app but it contains too many bugs and game breaking issues to be a great app.
