Campfire is part of Niantic's attempt to push local activities in Pokémon Go, but it's missing a lot of functionality. Though intended to encourage playing with people nearby, there isn't any distance slider for you to define "nearby". Because of this, I keep getting notifications from flares on the other side of the city, which really undermines the value of the app. Being able to set a distance radius would be a quick fix, but won't solve the problem - it needs user-defined local areas.

This is amazing, an even better if would be the ability to know when your local gyms have live raids. For example, I am very close to a gym but never see the raids until it is too late. If I could select specific gyms and save them to my profile. Anytime one of my chosen gyms has a raid, I would like a text or alert so I can decide if I want to take part. The join raid host buttons need to be at the top. After the change,I didn't raid for a while as I was unable to find the join or host button.

Few apps have as many weird bugs going on as this one. From awkward group and meetup link functionality to a non-functioning group overview (groups not showing up so you have to enter through meetups, and not being able to remove groups by leaving them) to a poorly set up integration to lacking notification setting (please let us suppress @everyone spam without turning off everything else, this is a standard feature in other apps). It has a lot of potential though.
