it's a sad one this, I absolutely loved Knights of Pen and Paper 1, played it years ago, moved on. came across this one recently and was happy to give it ago. Sadly it has none of the soul and charm of the original, there's an ad on screen (couldn't actually see a place to buy the game out) and a ton of other micro transactions. Yikes.

I absolutely loved the previous two games, so I was very excited when I saw this on the play store. Sadly it sucks, the combat is slow and boring, you have to grind pretty much from level one, the abilities and classes are boring and mostly useless (maybe the classes you unlock later on are better, I didn't get that far) but the base gameplay is just plain and simply bad. There are also horrible pay to win micro transactions. Very sad to see a beloved series die.

Poorer than the previous 2 games. Art looks great but I can't get past what feels like much blander/restricted character options. Not a fan of the upgrade system. The combat isn't balanced and has difficulty spikes far too early into a playthrough that go past challenging and into not fun, and while I expect some grind it feels like it's expecting too much too soon to progress. I'd rather have paid for the game so it wasn't designed around microtransactions.

• Daily rewards: the streak counter now starts at the right day, and you get the streak bonus the claim screen shows
• Chests can no longer be moved to Storage. Any chests already there are back in your inventory
