The reef and 20 deep cards are completely free to play (and ad-free!), and you may also join one multiplayer game per day free. A one-time upgrade to the Complete Game features 87 Deep Cards, 21 Scenarios, and multiple hard AI personalities for endless replay fun. You can now play online against others on any platform, in real time or asynchronously. Purchasing the Complete Game allows you to create your own decks for use in singleplayer and multiplayer, and create your own multiplayer games.

Great game, with the app generally providing a good simulation of the physical game in a nice mobile form. Latest update has a rather nasty bug though, in that it requires a very long hold (with NO movement) to get the enlarged view of a card in your hand, which means that you are often playing blind in terms of what the card's stats are. Devs have responded very well to the bug report, so I'm hopeful this will be configurable soon.

I think there's a potential bug. At one point the game refused to let me play deep cards, despite having fish, trait slots and ability to pay. I got to 3 deep traits on 2 species. Even if I removed one it wouldn't let me return to 3. Also the easy AI while free, is still too easy. (52 - 16). Love it irl as a boardgame too tho.

Easy AI is meant for beginners, to help them learn how to play the game. Advanced AI, available upon purchase, can be quite challenging! Have fun in the deep end!

Almost brilliant - great graphics, UI and game of course is fantastic. However - there are a couple of bugs regarding zoom in of cards and deep deck being inaccessible after a while (others have mentioned). Also, I bought the deep deck upgrade package without online play, but unfortunately can't access the new deep cards without presumably the deck editor which isn't included. This is quite misleading, and I'm probably going to get this refunded if not fixed.
