Discover the region and its industries, decide where a new line should go, and connect the places that need each other. A mine may be waiting for a route to market; a town may need supplies; a factory may be ready to turn raw materials into valuable goods. Each discovery gives you new possibilities—and new reasons to extend your network.

Explore the region
Venture beyond your starting point and uncover the region’s towns, industries, and resources. Learning what each area produces—and what it needs—is key to finding promising routes. Look for places where a railway could make a difference, then decide which connections are worth building first. As your network expands, new opportunities come into reach.

Build your railway
Lay tracks to link stations, industries, and communities. Shape your routes around the landscape and plan connections that serve your goals. A short line can open access to a nearby source of cargo, while a longer route might connect several important destinations. Every section of track contributes to a network you design and expand at your own pace.

Buy and equip trains
A railway needs the right trains for the jobs ahead. Buy new trains and equip them to suit the cargo and routes you want to serve. Choose how to build up your fleet as your operation grows, and make sure your trains are ready to carry goods between the places you’ve connected.
