I played this ages on my old PS3 and thought it was good then. The mobile version is just as good, if not more difficult due to the controls. It's packed with atmosphere and reminds me of an Eraserhead style nightmare. The plot is deliberately open ended and designed to make the player decide for themselves. This game, and it's spiritual successor, Inside, are true ground breaking works of genius and well worth a place in any gamers library.

(Lovingly) frustrating at times yet addicting game. 5/5 with the atmosphere putting it all together. It could've had some lore put into it though, even if cryptic.. to turn that atmosphere into a proper world and not leave everything up for speculation. Also, it could've provided more clues and foreshadowing for certain puzzles so they're not completely unpredictable and their completion doesn't rely on at least one death.. to solve puzzles with your mind rather than your life.

Argh, like the album Spiderland by Slint I am now on a lifelong quest to find a game that is as good as this! I've run through it four times and still enjoy the physics of the puzzles, even on a small phone screen. I have since played Inside and found that Limbo has more opportunities for unexpected (and often amusing) deaths whilst Inside is more filmic with a more compelling story but both have strong narrative without any dialogue, hints suggestions or cut scenes. Love, love, LOVE!
