About this app

Shuttle Music Player is a music player for the songs on your phone and the music on your own Jellyfin, Plex or Emby server. No ads, no account with me, and one library for all of it.

Play MP3, FLAC, Opus, AAC, Ogg and more straight from your device, offline. Or sign in to your media server and stream your whole collection with its artwork and playlists.

WHY SHUTTLE

• Local and server music in one app. Your offline files and your Jellyfin, Plex or Emby library sit side by side.
• Its own tag reader, so your library is built from the tags in your files, from the folders you choose.
• Built-in Opus and FLAC decoders, so they play the same on every phone.
• A 10-band equalizer with presets and a frequency response graph, plus ReplayGain for a steady volume between tracks and albums.
• A tag editor that edits one song or a whole album at once.

JELLYFIN, PLEX AND EMBY

Shuttle is a music client for self-hosted media servers. Add your Jellyfin or Emby server with its address and your login, or sign in to Plex with your Plex account. Browse your server's albums, artists, genres and playlists, search it, and play to your phone, your car with Android Auto, or your speakers with Chromecast.

Looks nice enough, but no use to me at the moment until it's got offline support - I don't really want a music player for using while I'm at home - unless it was an Android TV app! TBH, it's got to go a long way to beat Yatse as an Emby client, though it does look nicer. The fonts are a bit tiny - could that be something you can configure? Also, the password field shouldn't require a password. I had to create an account with a password to be able to even test it out. Sure, you could argue having a password is always a good idea, but since Emby doesn't force you to have one, this shouldn't either... (and I know lots of Emby users don't have passwords)

Thanks for the feedback Rob. I agree - you should be able to login without a password. Offline playback is planned. Emby support is not restricted to local networks, so you can use the app away from home - but yes, it will use your data.

Paid for Shuttle+ and using it quite happily until I upgraded my phone and ran into a playback bug. So installed this and found that excluding songs doesn't work properly (it still shows the artist/album even when you've excluded everything inside), and it doesn't respect the disc # tag, so track 1 on disc 1 is followed by track 1 on disc 2. This is basic stuff that worked in the old app, and now I'm asked to pay again for something that's gone backwards. Reminds me of Sonos. Will go elsewhere.

it's a mess of the library because everything gets jumbled together into categories of songs, genres, albums, artists, and playlists. I do not see an option for folder hierarchy view so you can browse your organized mess. if you have a very small library then it might be okay. IF you have a large library, then it's like tossing thousands of files into one folder and wanting to sort through it.

Thanks, folder browsing is one of the most requested features and it's high on my list.
