I have made fantastic progress through Skoove and am very impressed with how it builds up each stage then pulls it all together. However, that's only if and when the app works!! It is utterly diabolical! Having paid out for a year's subscription, I am dedicated to playing, but I spend most of my time rebooting, reinstalling, waiting for it to load only to come back with an error message. Please fix this, it is currently unusable and I will be seeking to recover the money I have spent on it.

Nice balance of introducing correct technique early, and some light relief. Pity it's only available on mobile devices, would give 5* if there was a PC version as this would give a lot more flexible options for how it is used. One criticism, when "feedback" is on, it's good at checking that you play all the expected notes, with roughly the right timing. What it misses though is added wrong notes. Example: If you slip playing a C/E/G chord and accidentally add a clashing F, it still says it's OK

I LOVE this app! There are so many wonderful things about it. This is my perspective as a returning beginner. 1) I recognised what I was playing straight away. This bought me JOY. 2) It breaks down song for you in small sections 3) you can slow down the tempo until you're getting used to what you're playing 4) you can learn and practice scales if you want, but it teaches you, you can warm up by playing your fav songs. There are bugs in the intermediate lessons, but I love this as a beginner.
