CIS Ledger: Deductions Tracker

CIS Ledger is a simple record book for subcontractors in the UK Construction Industry Scheme. Log each payment a contractor makes, see what has been deducted, and tick off the monthly payment and deduction statement each contractor must give you.

It keeps everything on your phone. No account, no ads, no tracking.

WHAT IT DOES
- Payments: record the gross amount, materials you paid for, and the CIS deducted (20%, 30% or 0%). The deduction is suggested from the rate; change it to match the figure on your statement.
- Statements: GOV.UK says a contractor must give you a payment and deduction statement within 14 days of the end of each tax month (the 6th to the 5th). CIS Ledger lists every contractor and month you have payments for, shows whether the statement is waiting, received or overdue, and lets you type in the statement totals to compare with your own records.
- Keep a copy: attach a photo or PDF of each statement. It is copied into the app on your phone and goes nowhere else.
- Tax year: totals by tax year, contractor and tax month, ready when you do your Self Assessment or send records to your accountant.
- Reminders (optional): a notification the day after statements are due while one is missing, on 5 April, and a week before the 31 January Self Assessment deadline. Reminders are made on your phone.
- Your data is yours: export payments, statements, costs as CSV, or back everything up to one ZIP file and restore it later. Always free.

PRIVACY
Records are stored only on your phone. CIS Ledger has no account, no ads and no analytics, and it collects no data. Purchases are handled by Google Play.
