When I first joined Manta in 2023, I was very pleased with the unlimited library and what the app had offered. However, since they have introduced their new subscription types and gem systems, they have also produced less and less of their own comics and adaptations. The only newly added comics now are mediocre and old Pocketcomics comics. So I have cancelled my subscription. What a shame.

I was happily paying for this for a long time, I think £5/m is reasonable. But the new gem system has really pissed me off. I already pay £5/m, now I have to pay £25+ *on top* per novel and per comic for some of them!? Those are crazy prices! I actually prefer the novels to the comics, so I'll just go back to kindle or something instead. Edit: thanks for your message, I looked at the notice and it seems I'm correct, some of the content is via gems only, & it's very expensive! £30-£40 per novel!

I've been an unlimited subscriber for a few years now and it's been one of the best comic readers I've found. Woke up this morning to read my daily episodes and found they've added a currency system like every other app. It looks as though I can still read the ones I've started but there are so many I would now have to pay for separately to the subscription!! Now whenever I want to look for new ones I have to scroll through to find ones I can actually read without having to pay more for!
