Store backups your way
Save backups on internal storage, an SD card or USB drive where supported.
Connect Swift Backup to:
• Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box
• Mega.nz, pCloud, Filen, Yandex.Disk and Cloud Mail.Ru
• WebDAV, including Nextcloud, ownCloud and compatible NAS devices
• S3-compatible storage
• SMB, SFTP, FTP, FTPS and FTPES servers

Root and Shizuku
Root is not required to back up APKs, messages, call logs, folders or wallpapers.
Backing up and restoring private app data requires root. Some protected app files and batch restore actions require Root or Shizuku, depending on your Android version. See the FAQ for exact requirements.

Sign-in and encryption
You can use Swift Backup anonymously and offline for local backups. Google Sign-in is required for cloud backups and Premium features. Browser-based sign-in is available on devices without Google Play services.
Backups are encrypted, except APKs, expansion files and wallpapers. Backups are tied to the Swift Backup account used to create them, so use the same account when moving to another device.

works like a charm, has everything you'd need when migrating ROMs or just keeping a backup just in case, the free version is sufficient for all your needs, as long as you have root. EDIT: after using the app for over a year I've purchased premium, mainly to support the devs for their incredible work. that gives you scheduled backups and sync with cloud for a £6 ONE TIME payment - a small price to never have to worry about losing your precious data.

As a root Android user, I cannot love without this app. Knowing it will reliably back up my apps and data is a godsend. Do bear in mind, however, that restoring an app after a wipe will not work perfectly with all apps. Notably, apps like Slack, Duo Mobile, banking apps etc. will detect this and force you to log in again, sometimes this will also break those apps and you'll need to clear your app data. That's not Swift Backups failt though.

app locks well made but it's not possible to schedule any backups - even local - without a subscription/large payment. so essentially app is useless for any automatic backup
