About this app

Travel confidently around London with Transport for London's official app, built around our iconic live Tube map. Try switching to step-free mode and watch the map adjust to show only accessible stations, ensuring your journeys are as smooth as possible. With a clear, user-friendly design, TfL Go is easy for everyone to use.

Find the Best Route
We'll suggest multiple ways to get to your destination, whether by Tube, London Overground, Elizabeth line, DLR, Tram, National Rail, IFS Cloud Cable Car, or even cycling and walking. You choose the route that suits you best.

Check Before You Travel
Get live arrival times for Buses, Tube, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, DLR, Tram, and National Rail. Check the live status of all TfL lines and stations directly on the map, or view a summary of current disruptions in the "Status" section.

Freedom to Explore
Find travel options tailored to your needs, including step-free journeys and routes avoiding stairs or escalators. Journey plans automatically adapt to the accessibility status of stations, helping you avoid disruptions. TfL Go also supports TalkBack and different text sizes, making it more accessible for everyone.

Manage Your Payments
Create an account or log in to manage your payments for travel across London. Top up pay as you go credit or purchase Travelcards for your Oyster card, and view your journey history for both Oyster and contactless cards registered to your account.

Note: Oyster and contactless accounts can only be accessed within UK/Europe.

Understand Station Facilities
Check how busy a station is right now, or see if it has toilets or Wi-Fi access. Find detailed information about step-free access and interchanges including platform gap width, step height and boarding methods available.

On the whole a good app. A few improvements would make it a great app particularly to help people from outside London. 1 - Show the zones on the map. It will save having to download a separate map. 2 - make it easier to plan journeys by allowing you to easily put in from location and different travel times rather than 'go now'. 3 - allow a longer time before the app auto refunds oyster credit or make it so you dont have to tap a reader to apply it to card. It allows for ahead planning.

Hi Richard, thank you for your feedback and ideas for improvement. Regarding point 2, you can do this currently in TfL Go; tap the 'Current location' button in blue to change the from location when searching for a journey; tap on 'Leaving now' to adjust the time of departure or arrival.

Suggestion: If you don't want to turn on your location, or you are trying to look up a future journey, it's a real pain to find the option where you can put in your start and end destinations. 'Go now' is great for people who need that function, but why is the other search so hard to find? e.g. if I select a tube stop and click go now, with my location off it doesn't offer me the opportunity to access the page where I can select my starting location.

Hi Grace, after tapping Go now on a station, it takes you to the journey planner, and after dismissing the alert, you can tap on 'Current location' at the top to search for a different starting point.

Not sure why this needs permission to close other apps on your device. Planning using this app is a pain. You have to fight against it using your current location when you're somewhere else. Click the x to clear the 'Current location' from the search box and it dismisses the search completely. The only way to plan to leave or arrive later is to tap on"Go Now"?!? Hardly a user friendly design choice.

What’s new

New: Information about toilet facilities is now easier to find, with more details about available facilities, locations and access.
Fixed: When planning a journey after changing your starting point, destination search results no longer show line names
Fixed: The Paddington interchange line on the map is no longer wonky!
Plus some design and bug fixes.
