Use a calorie counter with AI meal photos to keep your nutrition goals in view. Count calories, follow daily targets for weight loss, maintenance or muscle gain, with a food diary that brings your meals and progress together.
📷 A food tracker with editable details
Take a new photo or pick one from your gallery. AI estimates foods, portion weights, calories, protein, carbs and fat. AI results are approximate; review and edit food, serving sizes and nutrition values before saving. Change the dish name or ingredient weights, add or remove components and let totals recalculate as components change. Save the result to your food diary.
For a packaged item, scan its barcode to look up nutrition when the product is available. Add food manually when you know its details, or search individual favourites you have saved. Your nutrition tracker can bring these different types of entries into the same daily view.
Set up your macro tracker around your aim
Choose targets in the calorie counter based on your profile, activity level and goal, or enter them yourself. See calories consumed and remaining on Home and in the diary. Your macro tracker also shows protein, carbohydrate and fat totals against daily goals.
If you want to lose weight, use the calorie tracker to monitor a calorie deficit, follow maintenance targets or track intake for muscle gain, with the kcal you have left shown all day. The calorie ring shows daily progress, and calendar marks help you see consecutive days of logging. A consistent food diary gives you more context when you look back.
💧 Water, weight and everyday shortcuts
Manual food entry, water logging and weight tracking are basic features and do not require Premium. Set a daily water goal, record water and choose meal or water reminders. Log body weight, then explore weekly, monthly and yearly charts to see changes across your entries.
Keep your calorie counter close with home screen widgets:
- Check daily calories and macros in the nutrition view.
- See water intake and add a glass from the water widget.
- Open the camera from Quick Scan to start an entry in your food tracker.
Choose the health records you connect
With permission, Health Connect on supported Android devices imports recorded calories burned, exports logged nutrition and syncs weight both ways. Use these records with your nutrition tracker to compare food intake with recorded energy burned.
More flexible logging with Premium
Premium adds AI food entry by typing or speaking and saved meals containing several foods that you can reuse. Your food tracker has another way to capture lunch when a photo is inconvenient, or a shortcut for a combination you eat often.
The macro tracker covers core nutrients. Premium adds available fibre, sugars, sodium, vitamins and minerals, along with detailed nutrient charts. Once enough entries are available, the weekly AI review draws on your calorie counter records to highlight eating patterns, compare intake with goals and offer practical suggestions. It gives your nutrition tracker another way to support a review of your habits.
Keep your food tracker records
Share a food diary entry as an image or text. Export and import backups of your diary, meal photos, water and weight records. Choose metric or imperial units and light or dark mode to suit your daily use.
Daily food-entry limits depend on your access and also cover manual entries and foods added from favourites. Check the current limits in the app.
