Keep everyday meals in a calorie counter with AI photo logging. A food diary makes calorie counting easier to follow, whether your aim is weight loss, maintaining weight or tracking protein for muscle gain. Count calories from a photo and keep a diet log in one place.
📷 Build your food diary one meal at a time
Photograph your plate or choose a picture from your gallery. AI estimates foods, portion weights, calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat. AI estimates are approximate; check and edit the food, portion and nutrition details before saving. Change a dish name or ingredient weight, add a missing component or remove one you did not eat. Totals recalculate as components change.
Scan a packaged food's barcode to find its nutrition when the product is available. Manual entry is another option, and you can save and search individual favourites. These choices give calorie counting a place in different routines. The macro tracker uses the saved entries to bring protein, carbs and fat together.
Your calorie counter, your daily targets
Use goals based on your profile, activity level and aim, or set them yourself. See calories consumed and remaining on Home and in the diary. The macro tracker puts nutrient totals beside daily targets, so a meal has context beyond its calorie total.
If you want to lose weight, monitor a calorie deficit, or adjust your goals for maintenance or muscle gain. The calorie tracker shows the kcal you have left today. Calorie counting works from the details you log; the calorie ring shows daily progress and calendar marks show consecutive logging days. Your food diary becomes a record you can return to, not just a total for today.
💧 Keep food and water close to hand
- Log water against a daily goal and set water or meal reminders.
- Put your calorie counter on the home screen with calorie and macro widgets.
- Add a glass from the water widget and check hydration progress.
- Open the camera from Quick Scan when a meal is ready.
Manual food entry, water logging and weight tracking are basic features and do not require Premium. Record your weight and view weekly, monthly and yearly charts. If weight loss is your aim, review changes across your entries alongside the eating habits behind them.
Connect your recorded energy balance
On supported Android devices, Health Connect can import recorded calories burned, export logged nutrition and sync weight both ways, with your permission. This lets you compare intake with recorded energy burned while choosing what data to connect.
More ways to log with Premium
A Premium subscription adds AI food entry by text or voice and meals made up of several foods that you can save and reuse. This gives calorie counting another route when a photo is inconvenient. Alongside the macro tracker, explore available fibre, sugars, sodium, vitamins and minerals, plus detailed nutrient charts.
With enough entries, the weekly AI review highlights eating patterns, compares intake with your goals and offers practical suggestions. Whether you are following weight loss or maintenance targets, it draws on your recorded meals to support a more informed review of your week.
Keep a copy of your calorie counter records
Share a food diary entry as an image or text. Export and import a backup of your diary, meal photos, water and weight records. Choose metric or imperial units and light or dark mode.
Daily food-entry limits depend on your access and also cover manual entries and foods added from favourites. Check the current limits in the app.
