Your phone's videos, on your wrist.
WristReel sends videos that are already saved on your Android phone to your Wear OS watch and plays them there. It does not stream or download videos from websites or apps, so sharing a link will not work.
It is made for watches with Wear OS 3 or later, such as Pixel Watch or Galaxy Watch (Watch4 and later).
To send a video to your watch, pick it in WristReel, or share it from your gallery or a chat app and choose "Watch on wrist". Your phone makes it watch-sized and sends it over. Your watch opens the video, or shows a card where you tap Watch, and it plays on the watch speaker or your Bluetooth earbuds.
What You Get
- For videos you already have: clips you recorded, videos friends sent you, and others stored on your phone.
- Works from Android's share menu: no file manager, no copying files to the watch by hand.
- Made for the watch: your phone converts each video to a small 480p file when needed, so it sends quickly and suits the small screen.
- A simple video player for Wear OS: tap to pause, turn the crown for volume, double-tap to switch between fill and fit.
- A tile with your latest video, one tap to play.
- Keeps your watch tidy: videos you watched to the end are removed by themselves (you can turn this off), old videos expire after the time you choose, and you set how many the watch keeps.
- Send again from the phone while the video is still in WristReel's list.
- A built-in sample clip, to check that your phone and watch are connected.
Private by Design
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- The phone app has no internet permission. Videos go only to your own paired watch.
- WristReel only sees the videos you choose. It needs no access to your photos, files or messages.
Requirements
- An Android phone (Android 8.0 or later) paired with a watch on Wear OS 3 or later, such as Pixel Watch or Galaxy Watch4 and later.
- The videos must already be saved on your phone.
- Install WristReel on the phone and on the watch (on the watch: open the Play Store there, or use "Install on watch" in the phone app). One purchase covers phone and watch.
- Not for iPhone or Apple Watch. Not for Galaxy Watch3 or earlier models, which do not run Wear OS.
Send your phone's videos to your Wear OS watch and play them on your wrist.
