Updated Sep '26. Now dies immediately and consistently when one of the video reports is selected. Down even further to one star. Even more white space. Now too many stories on the front page with no way to cut down the irrelevant ones. Eg who in Essex wants to know about car accidents in Ireland? Preferred old app two versions back! Although "wheel" interface worked well. Still looking for a good alternative.

I used to use this app daily for my news updates, but as many other people have pointed out, the latest update makes no sense at all. The previous version was easier to navigate, set preferences of topics, and just plain easier to scan and read the news. The new version is a jumbled mess. Woop woop we have a dark mode.... Great...... That could have been an option without changing everything else.

Absolutely hate the updated version. The previous version was clear, intuitive and easy to use. This updated version is cluttered and unappealing. I'm sure that many people, like myself, found it useful to be able to just scan the headlines quickly and gather the important information and then read more in-depth on topics that held specific interest. In the new version you have to go hunting for the information you want. Font and layout are a step backwards. Change for changes sake...
