I like BBC Sounds a lot. It's got an easy-to-use interface, lots of variety for listening. My Gran who self-identifies as technophobe finds it easy to use on her ipad too since I showed her how to do it. It would be nice to be able to mark things as listened or not once logged in. It doesn't always remember that you have already listened to something.

Okay, this has gone on for years but I'm finally done with this app. If you turn off your screen or it times out like phones do, the radio stops playing. BBC's response to this is it's your phones fault because battery saving mode is on or your phone locks itself. It's nonsense! No other audio app does this but yours. I also don't have battery saving mode on. You can do something about this but choose not too. Game over.

Found that sometimes it's got a sync issue between devices and web: I can be halfway through something then log in somewhere else, it'll be available on continue listening but it just starts from the beginning. doesn't consistently do this and it's not always clear when it's going to do this. Still cannot remove recommendations, so if you listen to one Radio 4 comedy you're going to get a lot more recommended, even if it's stuff you know you don't like, and have no way to exclude it.
