TP-Link Tapo

since last update, the playback feature doesn't work, just a swirlling symbol been like it for days, tapo was brilliant when I first got mine, but last couple of years every update causing an issue, from asking you if your still watching after 2 minutes viewing live stream, can be very laggy at times too freezes a lot, maybe it's time to look for a different make, I've emailed you twice and still nothing and I still can't acess playback mode, getting annoyed with it now

Very good setup here. there's actually footage instead of pay walls! the last doorbell I had lasted less than a day. Then was permanently "uninstalled"! this app has free playback. free live view - which I thought was a feature on ALL doorbells, but not the Chinese cheap one I picked up before this one. the motion sensor also works, and you can watch and download the footage if you want. I think the only thing is, you get a 10 seconds clip, and you've probably got to upgrade for.

Generally good, allows me to view the live feed and stored recordings (triggered by various events). If you have the cams on a guest network it's a faff to switch over to download files, shouldn't be necessary. Especially useful to be able to select areas to include and exclude from monitoring. Only real downer is the occasional intrusive ads when I open the app.
